Mahindra and Mahindra are all set to announce the official name of its latest sub-4m SUV that is being developed as the S201. Developed by the company's Research Valley in Chennai, the Mahindra S201 SUV is said to be based on the same platform that underpins the SsangYong Tivoli. The Mahindra S201 will provide Mahindra with a viable product is the sub-four-metre SUV category, a segment where the firm has not been adequately represented so far. With its aggressive pricing, the Mahindra S201 will compete against the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Tata Nexon. The Indian automobile manufacturer has already started testing the SUV at different parts of the country, which has revealed its overall boxy silhouette as well as some of the features.
