After showcasing the BMW i4 last month, BMW is all set to launch the to join the BMW iX and the Mini Cooper SE in the BMW group's electric line-up for India. The BMW i4 basically an all-electric variant of the 4 Series Gran Coupe, and is based on the 3 Series' CLAR chassis. As of now, BMW has only unveiled the BMW i4 eDrive40 but is also expected to bring the more powerful M50 xDrive powertrain later on. Stay tuned for all the live updates from the launch of the BMW i4.
The BMW i4 can charge up to 200kW, giving the eDrive40 an extra 164 kilometres of range in only 10 minutes. BMW i4 eDrive4 has a total range of 590 km while the M50 xDrive has a range of 510 km (WLTP cycle).

The curved twin-screen set-up, which includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, is the highlight of the BMW's cabin. BMW's newest iDrive 8 user interface is installed on the system, which also enables over-the-air updates.
As of now, BMW has only unveiled the BMW i4 eDrive40 but is also expected to bring the more powerful M50 xDrive powertrain later on. The BMW i4 eDrive4 produces 340PS and is rear-wheel drive. The car will sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.7 seconds and is electronically restricted to 190 kmph.
