Lexus India to host Nature Electrified Design Contest
Lexus has announced a 'Nature Electrified' Design Contest in honour of Earth Day, inviting designers from throughout the country to create a distinctive car livery inspired by nature, electrification, and craftsmanship. The winning entry will have their design feature on the Lexus NX, as well as additional rewards such as Lexus products and an exclusive invitation to the upcoming Lexus Life experience event.
Lexus India welcomes all interested Graphic Designers, Design Students, Car Customizers, Car Enthusiasts, and Car Design Engineers to participate in the Nature Electrified Design Contest and submit their entries by May 31, 2023.
Lexus continues to highlight its environmentally friendly technologies, material consumption, processes, and affiliations. Lexus created the industry's first bamboo-charcoal speakers out of recycled plastics, castor seeds, and biodegradable sugarcane, pushing the boundaries of sustainable material design.
Lexus has been doing several design contests in India, but so far it's been non-automotive related. Lexus launched the Lexus Design Award India (LDAI) in 2018, expressing its commitment to a brighter tomorrow through design. The corporation acknowledges talent that contributes substantially to a brighter tomorrow and supports the cause for a more sustainable future through this property.
With the help of Grow-Trees, the project has planted over 30,000 trees around the country. In keeping with this goal of neutrality, Lexus will provide 100 percentage battery electric vehicles by 2035.
