Launched New Chevrolet Cruze in Mumbai at Rs 14.53 lakh
General Motors India has launched its new Chevy Cruze in Mumbai. The updated Cruze will be available in three trim levels: LT â" Rs 14.53 lakh, LTZ at Rs 15.49 lakh and LTZ (A) at Rs 16.44 lakh, ex-Mumbai.
The updates for the new Cruze are mainly under the hood with its new FAM Z 2.0L engine. The power rating has been bumped to 166PS (earlier 150PS) while the torque rating stands at 380Nm (earlier 323Nm), making the Cruze the most powerful sedan in its class. New F-40 6-speed manual and auto trannies handle transmission duties. GM claims that the new Cruze will hit 0-100kmph under 9.0s.
The updated Cruze gets chrome door handles, front fog lamps, push start button, keyless entry and 6-way power adjustable driver seat as standard on all the trims. The company says that the Cruze has 70 per cent of localisation in it, however, this amount is less than what they have achieved in the Beat. The new Cruze will be up against the Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis, Renault Fluence, Volkswagen Jetta and Honda Civic.
