Launched 2012 Mercedes-Benz R-Class CDI 4MATIC in India
Mercedes-Benz has launched the diesel variant of the R-Class in India. Called the R350CDI 4MATIC, the MPV is priced at Rs 58.9 lakh, ex-Delhi. The 2987cc V6 engine is mated to a 7G Tronic transmission and Mercedes claim that it will deliver fuel efficiency of 11.25kmpl.
Armed with LED daytime running lamps, direct-steer system, a steel chassis with air suspension in the rear and bespoke interiors, the R-Class has created a new segment of its own in the premium MPV segment. The interiors can house seven in reasonable comfort and can also accommodate 633 litres of luggage, expandable to 2385 litres by folding the middle and last row of seats. Creature comforts include three zone automatic climate control with vents even for the last row, electronically powered seats with memory function, 6-CD changer with USB interface and an electric sunroof.
