Lamborghini Urus Performante launched in India, prices start at Rs 4.22 crore

The Lamborghini Urus Performante has now been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 4.22 crore onwards. The Urus Performante is a lighter, faster iteration of the Urus and gets a host of upgrades to its chassis, engine and bodywork.

Lamborghini Urus Performante exterior changes

The Lamborghini Urus Performante sees significant changes to its bodywork over the standard SUV. There is a new carbon-fibre bonnet with sharper cuts and a functional air outlet. The bumper and splitter have also been redesigned to improve airflow and cooling. There is an optional carbon-fibre roof as well as wider carbon wheel arches that house 22 or 23-inch wheels. The ride height has dropped by 20mm while the front track is now wider by 16mm.

At the rear, there is a new spoiler inspired by the Aventador SVJ while the rear bumper and diffuser are done up in carbon fibre. A lightweight titanium Akrapovi? sports exhaust is standard. The new elements have made the Performante 25mm longer. A dual-tone paints scheme rounds off the package.

Lamborghini Urus Performante engine, specifications, performance

The Urus Performante now makes 16PS more from its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, upping outputs to 666PS and 850 Nm. The 0 to 100 kmph time is 3.3s and top speed is 306 kmph while the power to weight ratio has improved with a 47 kg weight saving. There is a new differential to improve torque distribution, while the steering rack, as well as the rear-wheel steer, have been reworked for better feedback and responses. The Pirelli P Zero tyres have now been specifically developed for the Urus Performante.

There is a new Rally drive mode for dirt track with a more forgiving ESC program while the Strada, Sport and Corsa modes have also been reworked.

Lamborghini Urus Performante interiors

The Nero Cosmus black Alcantara trim is standard in the Urus Performante with a new hexagonal seat pattern as well as Performante lettering. These extend to the doors, roof-lining, seat backrest and rear wall. A leather interior is available optionally. The steering wheel is done up in black Alcantara or Leather while interior matt carbon fiber details, red door handles, and a customized kickplate can be had optionally. There is also a graphic for the infotainment.
