Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule special edition launched in India
Lamborghini has launched the Urus Pearl Capsule in India. The Pearl Capsule is a design package that comes with various exterior and interior styling elements fitted as standard over the regular Urus. This version made its international debut in June 2020 and has now been launched in India. The Lamborghini Urus Pearl Capsule's prices have not been revealed yet but expect a significant premium over the standard Urus Rs 3.15 crore ex-showroom sticker.
The Urus Pearl Capsule can be had in three pearlescent colour options, Giallo Inti yellow, Arancio Borealis orange and Verde Mantis green. Exterior details like the roof, mirrors, wheel cladding and side skirts are finished in gloss black in this version. Other enhancements are the 23-inch gloss black rims with body-colour accents and matt-grey tailpipes. On the inside, there is two-tone upholstery with a hexagonal stitching pattern and an embroidered logo. A perforated Alcantara upholstery option is also available. Other new bits inside are the dashboard elements finished in carbon fibre and aluminium.
The Urus Pearl Capsule remains mechanically identical to the standard Urus. Powering the Lamborghini Urus SUV is a twin-turbo V8 that puts out 650PS and 850Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. Lamborghini claims that the Urus SUV can do 0 to 100kmph in 3.6 seconds, do the 0-200 kmph run in 12.8s and reach a top speed of 305kmph. The Urus is closely related to the Audi RS Q8. The two, along with the related Bentley Bentayga are currently the fastest SUVs in the world.
Since its launch in India in 2018, over 100 units of the Lamborghini Urus have been sold. This makes it the best selling performance SUVs in the country. Globally too, the Urus has been a best-seller with over 10,000 units sold and accounting for 59 per cent of all Lamborghini sales.
