KTM has officially launched Season 2 of the KTM Cup, one of the major motorcycle racing championships in India. The inaugural round of selections for Season 2 will take place in Coimbatore on 22 March. The racing action will commence with the selection round in Coimbatore, followed by subsequent rounds in key cities, including Delhi (13 and 14 April), Mumbai (26 and 28 April), and Kolkata (11 and 12 May). Then, the end of the competition, featuring qualifiers and the grand finale, is scheduled at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore between May 24 and 26. That being said, the company said that the Season 1 attracted over 1,000 participants across the country.

The Season 2 of the KTM Cup introduces three distinct categories: Pros, Women, and Amateurs. The Pros category comprises participants from Season 1 (excluding the top 3 winners), FMSCI License Holders/INMRC Racers from the last 3 years, and one-make championship participants.

Further, the Women category is open to all female KTM owners and female motorcycle enthusiasts, with city-round entry open for non-owners and qualifying/final participation requiring KTM ownership. The Amateurs category caters to riders of varying skill levels. Interestingly, the top three winners of KTM Cup Season 2 will earn an opportunity to train with MotoGP racers and former Grand Prix winners at the renowned Red Bull Ring in Salzburg, Austria.

The races will be presided over by Jeremy McWilliams, an ex-MotoGP racer. Whereas, the championship's founder, Emmanuel Jebaraj, a seven-time National INMRC Champion and founder of Gusto Racing, India, will provide support for the event.
