KTM 250 Adventure launched in India at Rs 2.48 lakh
KTM India has announced the price of its younger adventure offering based on the 250 Duke, the 250 Adventure at Rs 2.48 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. While most of the dealerships have already started taking bookings for the same, KTM India has officially commenced bookings from today. The company will be offering attractive EMIs of Rs 5,500 on the 250 Adventure.
The styling is identical to the elder 390 Adventure which has been a theme in KTM's hierarchy. The tank extensions on the 250 get the KTM's signature orange paint with decals. The seat height is 855mm high and the fuel tank capacity stands at 14.5 litres - identical to the 390 Adventure. The source of power is a 250cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, engine that we've seen in the 250 Duke. The power is rated at 29.5PS and 24Nm torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
As part of undercutting the 390 Adventure, the 250 Adventure misses out on most bells and whistles. To begin with the feature list, the 250 Adventure gets a halogen headlamp instead of an all-LED unit. For suspensions, the 250 Adventure gets standard upside-down forks in the front, and a pre-load and rebound adjustable monoshock in the rear as opposed to the fully adjustable separate function USD forks on the 390 Adventure. The 250 also misses out on the ride-by-wire and traction control, however, the 250 gets a dual-channel ABS that can be completely turned off.
said "The recent years have witnessed an increasing trend in adventure touring and the interest in outdoor exploration is
on the rise. Our Adventure range is conceptualized to address this trend. The KTM 390 Adventure, which was launched earlier this year has been received very well by biking enthusiasts and has paved the way for the new member in the KTM Adventure model family. Based on the KTM 390 Adventure platform, the all-new KTM 250 Adventure is a Travel-Enduro motorcycle that appeals to a wide spectrum of riders from every part of the world. Thanks to its well-thought travel and adventure-focused ergonomics, the KTM 250 Adventure is an accessible motorcycle that offers an enjoyable riding experience for daily commuting
and weekend escapes outside the city either on or away from the tarmac.
He also added, "Combining top-spec components with the latest technology, the KTM 250 Adventure sets the benchmark in the rapidly growing Adventure segment. The KTM 250 Adventure will be available through exciting & affordable
ownership plans too, the details for which will be made available at the KTM showrooms."
