Kia India announce certified pre-owned car business
Kia India has announced the launch of Kia CPO, or certified pre-owned cars. With dedicated Kia CPO locations, the business hopes to give clients a modern experience that will enable them to swap, sell, or purchase used automobiles with no-hassle ownership transfers and specialized financing alternatives.
Kia is one of the fastest OEMs to do so, having opened a used vehicle store a little over three years after the automaker first entered India. In 2019, the South Korean automaker entered the Indian market with the release of the Seltos SUV. Up to two years and 40,000 km of warranty coverage and up to four free maintenance visits are provided for vehicles purchased via Kia CPO.
The business has also released a mobile app for digital evaluation that integrates real-time data and offers scientific price recommendations. Before being made accessible to consumers, every Kia vehicle that is certified and sold via Kia CPO will be under 5 years old, have fewer than 1 lakh km on the odometer, and have undergone a thorough 175-point quality inspection.
These vehicles will be structurally sound, have verified ownership and service records, and only genuine Kia parts will be used in their refurbishment. Customers will be able to purchase non-Kia vehicles as-is, where-is as well as Kia CPO vehicles from a single source.
Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India said, "With Kia CPO, we want to rewrite the rules of the game for the pre-owned car market. Currently, Indian customers have limited access to certified and verified information when it comes to the pre-owned car segment and we intend to change this notion with our entry into the business. Kia strives to revolutionize mobility by identifying need gaps in the industry and fulfilling them with our well-thought-out products and services. Our proactive approach of starting CPO business at such an early stage of our existence in the country will ensure that all systems and processes are in place even before the first lot of our products comes under the average replacement age."
