Kawasaki KLX230 gets a 7-year extended warranty
Kawasaki India has announced a new 7-year extended warranty program for the KLX230. The move adds to the existing 3-year standard warranty, offering owners the potential for upto 10 years of total warranty coverage.
- The extended warranty is priced at Rs 2,499 and is available as an optional add-on for the KLX230.
- It covers critical powertrain components, including engine and gearbox assemblies, ensuring added protection for key mechanical parts.
- Kawasaki states that the new plan is aimed at improving long-term ownership satisfaction.
The KLX is powered by a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle continues to feature a long-travel suspension setup, with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock designed to handle a variety of terrain.
Braking is managed by disc brakes at both ends, and the bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels.
Kawasaki recently localized the KLX230, which led to a significant price reduction. The motorcycle is currently priced at Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Kawasaki competes with the likes of Hero XPulse 210, KTM 390 Enduro R, KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, Hero Xpulse 200 4V and Yamaha WR155 R.
