July 2015 issue of OVERDRIVE out on stands now

You gotta love comebacks – and we love it even more when a popular make like Honda breathes new life into a somewhat forgotten model like the Jazz – it's a new tune, a new look and we've driven it, even compared it to the chart-topping Hyundai i20 to find out if this is what Honda needs to get lucky in the hatch segment.

Another comeback we've got our mind set on is the new generation Audi Q7 that's here after a nearly decade-long wait –  we're still on cloud nine after the spin on the SUV in the scenic Swiss countryside. Audi also goes on to bring six-y back with the new RS 6 Avant.

But here in India, we're a greedy bunch and we like to squeeze all the economy we can from our machines – our comprehensive fuel efficiency comparison for motorcycles of all makes, models and capacities available here in India will have you screaming 'gimme more'.

We're also an adventurous bunch so we tested Bajaj's AS 150 and pitted the AS 200 against the Hero Karizma to see if the new Pulsars walk the line of the 'adventure' motorcycles. We also swing a leg over the new Yamaha Saluto as it jostles with the Honda Shine for the spotlight in the 125cc motorcycle segment.

Range Rover just rid its Evoque of the extra baggage (paring off nearly Rs 30 lakh) and we drove it in the last issue – but what do we do next? We drive it alongside the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 and call it a beautiful day.

Maruti revives one of its greatest hits with an oil burner – the new Celerio diesel enters a space with minimal competition but we hope the new addition sparks off a chain reaction and gets more of its kind into the market. Suzuki, meanwhile, is taking no breaks and is working hard on bettering that lovely Gixxer - after the faired version, we take its race version on a  racetrack - and man, it's a hot one but so smooth.

This issue is incomplete without us breaking down Porsche's historic comeback at the 24 Hours of Le Man with a 17th win that had the world thunderstruck and Audi knocked out. But the gruelling Isle of Man TT title was again claimed by John McGuinness who's fooling no one with his jibes of growing older – his is not a comeback, he's been here the whole time. 23 times, actually.
