Jeep Compass and Meridian Club Edition launched in India
Jeep India unveiled the new Club Edition of the Compass and the Meridian SUVs. Based on their base trims, both SUVs now come in this unique edition in limited quantities on sale till February 28, 2023. The pricing of the Jeep Compass Club Edition is Rs 20.99 lakh, while the price of the Meridian Club Edition is Rs 27.75 lakh.
The base trims of both SUVs - Sport for the Compass and Limited for the Meridian - serve as the variants for the Compass and Meridian Club Edition versions. Only a distinctive sticker on the hood and a "Club Edition" emblem on the tailgate are the only modifications to both SUVs.
The Compass and Meridian Club Edition vehicles' standard basic trims' equipment lists are not modified. The Compass is equipped with amenities like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, twin airbags, and ESC. Along with automatic LED projector headlights, larger 18-inch wheels, wireless charging, a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone air conditioning, and six airbags, the Meridian also has a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
One powertrain each is available for the Compass and Meridian Club Edition vehicles. The only engine offered in the Compass is the 163PS, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine connected to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, while the only engine offered in the Meridian is the 170PS, 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Club Edition variants of neither of the SUVs come with the 4x4 powertrain option.
