Jawa-Yezdi enthusiasts celebrate the 20th International Jawa-Yezdi day together in Bangalore
On Sunday, July 10, 2022, the Jawa-Yezdi community across India came to the streets on Jawa and Yezdi bikes to commemorate the 20th International Jawa-Yezdi Day.
A record number of riders participated in the International Jawa-Yezdi Day ride this year, making it the biggest Jawa-Yezdi Day to date. More than 5,000 riders attended events and club/dealership-organized rides across India. Both fresh Jawa and Yezdi riders and owners of vintage Jawa & Yezdi were present.
The major event was held in Bangalore, which has one of India's largest Jawa-Yezdi communities and a sizable collection of vintage models. This year, 1200 people and 1000 motorbikes gathered at the city's renowned St. Joseph's School Ground. A variety of entertaining events, such as an on-site "Adventure Trail," a display of historic Jawa and Yezdi models, and live music performances kept the attendees delighted in addition to the meeting of like-minded brand devotees.
For the participants, there were other events such as 'Tug of War', 'Best Restored Motorcycle', 'Best Maintained Motorcycle' and 'Highest Distance Traveled on a Jawa and Yezdi Model'.
Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO of Classic Legends, said, "The International Jawa-Yezdi Day is the most momentous date in the calendar for our Kommuniti and bringing them together at such scale this year has been a delightful experience for us. Their love and passion for the brands and the motorcycles is overwhelming and equally encouraging for us to contribute more towards making this bond stronger, and the Kommuniti larger."
