The updated Range Rover Sport SVR also makes its way to India. The supercharged 5.0-litre petrol V8 now makes 590 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque. Other changes made specifically to this car by SVO include new front air inlets, optional exposed carbon fibre bonnet, stiffer suspension and increased use of lightweight materials to enhance performance, handling and agility. The overall effect of this is the 280 kmph top speed and a 0 to 100 kmph time of 4.5s. The engineers at SVO have focused on controlling pitch under heavy acceleration and braking, and changes to the damping hardware have improved turn-in, mid-corner grip and body control.

Jaguar Land Rover is on a strong product offensive in India, where it lags behind the three German brands. The company has ten launches planned for this year in India, and it has also been investing money globally in new products and tech to bridge the gap.
