Isuzu opens second dealership in Gujarat

Isuzu has opened doors to its second showroom in Gujarat at Rajkot, after opening the first one in Ahmedabad. The dealership, Torque Isuzu will offer sales and service backup for the MU-7 SUV and the D-Max range of pick-up trucks.

At the opening ceremony, Takashi Kikuchi, managing director, Isuzu Motors India, said, "Our presence here in Rajkot will intensify our reach in the state and certainly be a win-win proposition for our customers and us. Rajkot is fast gaining importance as a business hub for many small and medium enterprises. This is expected to continue further and we are confident of leveraging our product strengths in this part of the country. Torque Isuzu will enable this for us as they are known for their best-in-class sales and service support."

The Chennai based company also highlighted that its D-Max has won the Pick-up of the Year award at the recently held Apollo Commercial Vehicle Awards. The company says that its D-Max has a robust chassis and engine along with a cavernous loading bay to haul heavy loads while the MU-7 SUV has a 3-metre long wheelbase and thus offers spacious interiors. The managing director of Torque Isuzu, Kuren Amin said, "We are pleased to be associated with Isuzu Motors, the world's leading manufacturer of utility and passenger vehicles. With this dealership we plan to bring the best of Isuzu's sports utility vehicles and pick-up trucks to this part of the country."

Isuzu say that they plan to expand their dealership network by opening 60 outlets by the end of 2016. At present, the company has its dealership network spread across ten states.

Isuzu has plans to open 60 outlets across India by end of 2015-16.
