Indian Motorcycles will bring the Indian Chief Classic, the Chief Vintage and the Indian Chieftain to India - all powered by the all-new Thunder Stroke 111 engine. The engine, which is 1819cc in displacement, boasts an impressive 161Nm of torque. While visually it may seem like the Indian engines of yore, it is thoroughly modern. For reliability purposes, Indian Motorcycles have tested the engine for nearly three million kilometres. Paired to this engine is a 6-speed transmission.

The Chief Classic is one of the most affordable motorcycles in the range. The motorcycle has genuine leather seats, valanced fenders and spoke wheels with instruments on top of the tank. While it looks retro, the bike has modern equipment like throttle by wire, ABS and even keyless ignition. Its current US pricing pegs the Chief Classic at Rs 11.61 lakh and the second bike in the lineup, the Chief Vintage, is available for roughly Rs 13.07 lakh. It comes with leather bags and Indian Motorcycles prefer calling it the soft Bagger. The Chief Classic is a very practical motorcycle considering how easy it is to switch between leisure, full-on touring and urban modes. The Chieftain is the flagship model of Indian Motorcycles. It has a fork-mounted fairing with a powered windshield and has hard saddle bags with a quick release mounting and a Bluetooth-enabled music system.
