Indian Army partners with Ultraviolette

The Indian Army's Madras Regiment Centre(MRC) has partnered with Ultraviolette Automotive for a five-day Veteran Outreach Rally across Tamil Nadu, supported by a fleet of Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycles. The rally was dedicated to honouring the Veterans and Veer Naris of the Armed Forces, under the aegis of the Dakshin Bharat Area. The rally covered six districts, i.e, Tripura, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Theni and Coimbatore - interacting with around 3,000 Veterans and Veer Naris.

The event involved addressing welfare concerns, sharing entitlement-related information and offering direct support, with the F77s clocking over 6000km in total. The Ultraviolette F77 features a 10.3 kWh battery pack and delivers peak power output of 30 kW(40.76PS) and 100 Nm of torque.

It accelerates from 0-60 kmph in just 2.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 155 kmph and an IDC-certified range of 323 km. The motorcycle draws inspiration from aviation-grade engineering. Ultraviolette CEO and Co-founder Narayan Subramaniam stated that the collaboration with the Indian Army reinforces the company's commitment to national service and technological excellence.

He added that this moment represents a significant milestone for Ultraviolette, blending innovation with purpose. Founded in 2016, Ultraviolette is backed by investors such as Lingotto (EXOR N.V.), Qualcomm Ventures, Zoho Corporation, TVS Motors and Speciale Invest.
