Hyundai Venue facelift spotted in South Korea, expected to arrive in India in mid-2022
The upcoming Hyundai Venue facelift has been spied for the first time in South Korea. The facelifted Hyundai is expected to hit the markets sometime in 2022.
From the test mule that was spotted in South Korea, only a few changes have been made to the upcoming Hyundai Venue and most of them are cosmetic upgrades.
According to the spy photos, the Venue will keep its split headlamp design, with the main projector lights mounted on the front bumper. The grille appears to have been redesigned as well. Likewise, the LED taillights have been upgraded. The rectangular units are no longer in use. L-shaped lights have taken their place.
Hyundai is likely to enhance the technology included in the Venue facelift, while information on the interiors is limited. More information will become available as the release date approaches.
When compared to the existing model, the Hyundai Venue makeover is projected to be mechanically unaltered. The 84PS, 1.2-litre normally aspirated petrol engine, the 121PS, 1-litre turbocharged engine, and the 101PS, 1.5-litre diesel engine are all expected to be included in the update. The 1.2 petrol engine is likely to retain its 5-speed manual transmission, while the 1.0 turbo-petrol and 1.5 diesel engines will receive a 6-speed manual transmission.
Competition in this segment is extremely high and Hyundai Venue takes on the likes of its very stylish Koren sibling, the Kia Sonet, as well as the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. Prices for the Hyundai Venue start at Rs 6.99 lakh.
