Hyundai receives 11,000 bookings for the Xcent in India within 30 days of launch
Hyundai which recently launched the Xcent compact sedan in India has received over 11,000 bookings with more than a lakh enquiries. This milestone comes within a month of the launch of the Xcent. Hyundai says that the Xcent has generated high interest in Tier II cities mainly from young families.
The Hyundai Xcent is available with a choice of 1.2 litre petrol and 1.1 diesel engines. Majority of the bookings are for the u2 CRDi engine which makes 72PS of power and delivers 24.4kmpl fuel efficiency. The petrol engine in the meanwhile makes 83PS of power and comes mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
There are several segment-first features in the Xcent like the rear-AC vents, smart key with push button start and stop, rear view camera and the integrated audio with 1-GB memory. Prices for the Hyundai Xcent start from Rs 4.90 lakh, ex-Mumbai.
