Hyundai India launches 5-Star Assurance Program for new i10 and Santro
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is now offering a new maintenance package (5-Star Assurance Program) to new customers of i10 and Santro cars. The program includes Motor Assurance â" vehicle insurance at Rs 1, Total Maintenance Assurance â" free maintenance for three years or 40,000 km, whichever is earlier, Roadside Assurance â" free 24x7 roadside assistance for two years, Warranty Assurance-Extended warranty for the third year or up to 40,000km, whichever is earlier and Exchange Assurance â" Loyalty bonus of Rs 15,000 will be offered to customers looking to trade-in an existing Hyundai car for another.
Previously in the Indian market, the only other company offering a maintenance package on its small car was Chevrolet with its Spark. Due to increased competition in the entry level car market, more and more companies are now finding ways to attract customers to their showrooms through such schemes. It can be noted that Hyundai used to offer a package in North America during the recession time where customers were assured of buy-back by the company in case they lost their jobs.
Arvind Saxena, director, sales and marketing, HMIL said, "Our new 5-Star Assurance Program is designed to offer 360-degree services to our customers ranging from maintenance to roadside assistance. The primary objective being to enhance customer satisfaction long after the purchase has been made. To connect with the audience emotionally is something that Hyundai is aiming at. "
