Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has released a video teaser of its new 100cc motorcycle ahead of launch soon. This upcoming commuter-segment bike will rival the Hero Splendor Plus and Bajaj Platina. It is believed that the new 100cc motorcycle from Honda will arrive in the second or third week of the next month.

In terms of design, the new 100cc motorcycle is expected to borrow its styling cues from the Shine - Honda's one of the highest-selling two-wheelers. Additionally, it may get a halogen headlamp, LED daytime running light, halogen indicators and taillamp, analogue or semi-digital instrument console, side stand warning/cut off, and alloy wheels.

Honda's upcoming motorcycle will get a 100cc, single-cylinder air-cooled motor. This engine is likely to be mated to a four-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the new bike could also come with an engine start/stop system.

Currently, the brand's lowest displacement motorcycle line-up comprises the CD 110 Dream and Livo. Both bikes share a 109.51cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. Moreover, the SP 125 and Shine are positioned above them and are powered by a 123.94cc motor.
