Honda CB650R and CBR650R E-Clutch launched at a starting price of Rs 9.60 lakh
The Honda CB650R and CBR650R were launched for Rs 9.60 lakh and Rs 10.40 lakh(ex-showroom), respectively. Both bikes are powered by a 649cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 95 PS of power at 12,000 rpm and 63Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm.
The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and Honda's E-clutch system, which enables gear shifting without clutch lever operation. CBR650R features Showa's 41mm Separate Function Fork Big Piston inverted forks and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload.
It is equipped with a dual 310mm front floating disc and a 240mm rear disc, backed by a dual-channel ABS, a 5.0-inch full colour TFT display and smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app. The CBR650R shares the same powertrain and chassis as the CB650R and includes Honda Selectable Torque Control(HSTC).
The TFT display is also 5.0 inches tall and allows Bluetooth access to calls, messages, and navigation. CB650R and CBR650R are among the few bikes in India with an "assisted" clutch system, the only other being the BMW R 1300 GS models. The CB650 R rivals the likes of the Triumph Trident 660, Triumph Street Triple 765 and Kawasaki Z900 to name a few.
