Honda Amaze reaches one lakh units sold milestone
It took the Mahindra XUV500 around three years, while the Renault took two - but Honda's first entry-level mid-size car for India, the Amaze has clocked in the one lakh units sold milestone in a little over a year.
Launched in April 2013, it's based on the Brio, the popular hatchback from the Honda. The sedan comes with the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine and the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and is available in 12 trims. The much awaited i-DTEC was Honda's foray into the diesel car segment. And boy, has it paid off! We really, really like diesel here in India.

Competitively priced at par with its rivals and as the most affordable Honda sedan, it also bagged the 'car of the year' title at the 2014 OVERDRIVE awards.
