Hero Splendor iSmart launched in India at Rs 49,967
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Splendor iSmart in India at Rs 49,967 ex-Mumbai. At this price point, it is approximately Rs 700 more than the corresponding Splendor NXG. This is the first of Hero's launches in India after the gigantic unveil of motorcycles and scooters from the past three months.
The Hero Splendor iSmart comes with a 100cc 4-stroke air cooled engine which makes 7.8PS of power and 8.04Nm of torque. A 4-speed gearbox complements the engine. The talking point of the Splendor iSmart is the technology which automatically shuts off the engine when the bike is idling. If the rider presses the clutch, the engine springs back to life, thus eliminating the need for pushing the electric start or kick. This is the first in class technology.
