Hero Motocorp launches home delivery of two-wheelers
Hero Motocorp, the country's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced a new initiative through which it will deliver its products directly to buyers' homes. This facility is available to customers in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Noida to start with, at a Rs 349 charge. Buyers can avail of this facility from the brand's e-commerce website, HGPmart.com.
This website works like any other e-commerce portal, with buyers choosing from the Hero range of products and their preferred variant and colour. They can then chose their city and state, and the dealership from where they want delivery of their vehicle. A representative from the dealership will then collect the required paperwork from the customer's given address, home or office. After this, the customer will receive his/her two-wheeler once all the payments and RTO registration are complete.
Commenting on the initiative, Sanjay Bhan, head of sales, aftersales and parts at Hero MotoCorp, said, "At Hero MotoCorp, we continuously invest in developing innovative processes and business models to ensure our customers get the best in class experience. Our new initiative will raise the bar for customer experience in the two-wheeler category. As the youth of today increasingly look for value-added services in every purchase that they make, brands have to step up their strategic thinking to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving market environment. We have been the first-mover in the e-commerce space and we are continuing this trend by commencing this new service. The motorcycle or scooter can be delivered at any address of your choice, not just at your home."
