Hero Electric to deploy 1,000 e-scooters in 2 years with the help of EVIFY
On Monday, Hero Electric announced that it will offer 1,000 electric scooters to EVIFY, a tech-enabled electric vehicle-based logistics firm, over the next two years. The first 50 scooters are currently being manufactured and will be delivered by the end of the month.
Hero hopes to facilitate the electrification of EVIFY's fleets through this agreement, with the logistics and last-mile delivery segments quickly growing in popularity in India. EVIFY will also get 500 EVs from Hero Electric before the end of the year, which will be deployed in numerous Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Speaking on the association, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, said, "At Hero, our focus is to deliver the best across sectors that foster an ecosystem for green mobility. B2B partnerships will enable the EV industry to exchange and utilize partner expertise and strengths to work toward the Zero-Emission vision. Fostering this vision, we have partnered with EVIFY to support their vision of electrifying the last mile delivery segment. We will leverage our resources and support more such partners. With the EV sector witnessing such swift expansion and multiple start-ups with various talent competencies, it has generated more opportunities for expanding the evolving sectors."
Also recently, Hero Electric announced a partnership with Even Cargo and the deployment of 10,000 electric vehicles. Even Cargo is the first women-only delivery platform in the country. Hero Electric recently teamed up with Shadowfax, a last-mile delivery service, to offer 10,000 electric vehicles. Hero aims to achieve these figures in the coming years.
