Powering the Genesis will be a 3.8-litre V6 petrol GDI engine which will be mated to an 8-speed auto transmission. While the UK market will get only 2-wheel drive Genesis sedans, rest of Europe will get the HTRAC-all wheel drive model. Hyundai has ensured near-equal weight distribution in the Genesis and claims that they have focused on refinement and driver involvement with this car.

Salient talking point of the new Genesis is in the cabin- the world's first CO2 sensor which monitors levels of the gas and protects the driver from drowsiness. The other protective aspects include automatic emergency braking, smart cruise control and Hyundai's usual plethora of airbags and safety aids.

The Genesis has also undergone a styling revamp which while not subscribing to Hyundai's fluidic design has carved out its own niche. The logo looks inspired from Aston Martin, while the grille and surrounding areas have taken after Audi designs. The side profile is from the Mercedes CLS. However, in all, the Hyundai Genesis 2015 looks very much a striking car.
