Gemballa spins its magic on the McLaren MP4-12C Spider
As if the McLaren 12C Spider wasn't already a handsome beast, tuners Gemballa have spun their magic wand over it to give it some additional prep. There is a reason why Gemballa has worked on this car and it is for those discerning customers who want exclusive machines. So here are the changes. New front and rear bumpers, logos, side skirts and tailpipes round off the carbon-fibre body kit enhancements. Inside, the interiors have been layered with leather and Alcantara decided by the customer. And depending on the colour chosen by the owner, the gauges will also be colour-matched accordingly.
Gemballa is also offering special GForged-one ultra-light forged alloy wheels in 20-and 21-inch configurations. The tuning firm says that despite being of a larger size, these wheels are lighter in weight than the stock ones primarily due to the use of lighter components. These wheels can be ordered in Gunmetal or Black Magic colours with an optional gloss turned diamond-cut finish for the spokes. Gemballa will also paint the GT Spider's (pimped 12C Spider) brake callipers in a colour opted by the client.
Sadly though, there are no changes to the 625PS/600Nm twin-turbo V8 engine and Gemballa says that inspite of all this enhancements, the GT Spider will still reach a top speed of 333kmph. Just the cost of the body kit runs into Rs 14.13 lakh while the augmentations to the wheels will cost around Rs 5.72 lakh. All this excluding VAT.
