Three's Company: Mercedes GLA 35 AMG 4MATIC

Three epic locations across the country, three masters of photography, one sumptuous three-pointed star!

The all-new Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC is an outstanding example of modern German engineering. It's an SUV that seamlessly blends performance, power and driving dynamics and can really take you any place you desire, and often beyond. The Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC was not designed to follow. It's a leader, an influencer. And to highlight this fact, three prestigious photographers, each with their own unique insights and perspectives on photography, were invited to photograph the luxury SUV against three very different backdrop scenarios across the country. Here are their epic renditions of the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC pictured in Satara, Maharashtra; Jaipur, Rajasthan and Chikmagalur, Karnataka.

On these outings, the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC faced both, smooth and treacherous terrain - from fantastic stretches of ghat road in Maharashtra, to the rutted roads, slippery rocks and mud in Chikmagalur, but the SUV, with its AWD system, always gave us the confidence to go wherever the photographers envisioned an epic photo opportunity. Once past city limits, out on the highway, unleashing the mighty 2.0-litre, 4-cyl turbocharged engine with its 306PS and 400Nm was an absolute thrill. Thorough, blissful Mercedes-AMG fun!

The SUV's various drive modes ensured that we had the right setup for any situation, all while the 8-speed DCT maintained a high level of composure and elegance through it all. Not only does the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC pack some serious performance, but it also is very practical and spacious as well, seating four passengers in the lap of luxury, with more than enough space for all the photography and shoot equipment, along with our personal luggage as well.

The moment you lay eyes on the AMG-specific radiator grille, you know that this SUV is special and set in front of some of Jaipur's finest Indo-Saracenic structures, the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC really looks grand. The muscular exterior, those gorgeous 19-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, the AMG roof spoiler lip, a rear apron and diffuser, those awesome chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes – the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC really stood out in contrast various backdrops in the different states - the calm landscapes in Maharashtra, the vibrant charm of Rajasthan and the lush greenery in Karnataka. The SUV's all-black cabin with red stitched suede and gloss black highlights oozes class and sportiness, while the ambient lighting is specifically designed to drop jaws.

With resplendent modern design elements such as the 10.25-inches high-resolution touch-sensitive media along with the large, a flat-bottom multifunction sports steering wheel and the Nappa leather sports seats, the SUV's cabin is filled with a sense of opulence and grandeur.

We had a great time shooting the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC in all sorts of varying weather and road conditions, and with this luxury sports SUV, each photographer had the opportunity to really get out and explore new horizons and experiment with their frames and photographs in true comfort and style.
