North America's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has rated the Tesla Model S at a combined fuel efficiency of 38kmpl. Not only this, the range for the Model S has been certified at 424km by EPA, making it the longest range amongst production electric cars available in the market. However, this range is only on the 85kWh battery, which bumps up the price tag to Rs 39.43 lakh excluding duties. Tesla will also be selling other models with lesser range and a lower price tag. There are also talks about a Performance edition model as well.
Recently, EPA had also rated the Honda Fit EV with an incredible 47kmpl with a range of 131km.
