End of the line for the Shelby GT350
Shelby American, the aftermarket customizing firm founded by the late Carroll Shelby, has announced that it will stop production of its limited-run series of Shelby GT350 muscle cars. Shelby American will take new orders for the Shelby GT350 through December 31, 2013. Production of all other Shelby performance cars like the Shelby GTS, Shelby Focus ST, GT500 Super Snake, Shelby 1000, and Raptor pickup trucks will continue.
The 2013 Shelby Mustang GT350 features a 5.0-liter V8 engine as a natural aspirated engine or a supercharged version with the supercharged model delivering anywhere from 525hp to 624hp depending on specification
"The Shelby GT350 is one of the world's most celebrated, iconic muscle cars. When we unveiled this latest version of the Shelby GT350, we promised it would be built for a limited time to preserve its collectibility and value." said John Luft, President, Shelby American.

As part of the variation, Shelby adds modifications like new fascias, racing suspension, beefed-up brakes and a whole new look to the Mustang. But it also stays true to its commitment of creating a small block car with high performance and unique styling to honour the Shelby heritage.
