EICMA 2012 - KTM 1290 Super Duke R concept

This is perhaps the biggest and baddest thing that ever happened to a Duke. KTM showed off its 1290 Super Duke R at the EICMA, causing a lot of jaws to drop. It looks wicked, and is nothing but pure muscle, as if a WWE wrestler just got rid of his shirt to show off. Naked, brash, aggressive are just a few words that describe this beast, which uses a bored out version of KTM's RC8R super bike's 1195cc liquid-cooled V-twin. The engine hangs suspended from the fully exposed tubular frame. The alloys are finished in part white and part orange, and the rear alloy is fully exposed, mounted onto a single sided swing arm.

Given its hooligan intentions the Super Duke R's wheelbase is short, and the carbon fibre bits hint at it being a light weight motorcycle. It gets traction control and ABS as well, and then there's anti-stoppie and anti-wheelie control too. Just in case you were worrying, all these can be switched off when in the mood for some fun.
