Ducati India discontinues Diavel, Scrambler, Monster 821 and Panigale 1299
Ducati India has taken off the Diavel, Diavel Carbon, Scrambler, Monster 821 and Panigale 1299 twins from its official website. After snooping around, we found that all these models shockingly don't conform to the BS-IV standards and hence have been taken off the shelves. A discount ranging between Rs 1-1.5 lakh was offered on these motorcycles before their sale was banned due to the stricter emission norms. Last December, Ducati was offering huge discounts on the Scrambler range to clear stocks.
Now that the Scrambler is no longer on sale, the Ducati Monster 797 is the most affordable motorcycle that the Italian manufacturer offers here. The recently launched 797 is priced at Rs 7.77 lakh and uses the Scrambler's 75PS/69.4Nm 803cc twin-cylinder engine. It may be noted here that the Monster's engine is BS-IV compliant. Ducati India says that the BS-IV versions of the Scrambler (Icon and Classic) are now available for booking while deliveries will start from July 2017. The Full Throttle will be in the market from September 2017. Diavel Diesel and regular Diavel will be in showrooms in August and October respectively. The 821 Monster will also come to India in October 2017.
