Cred introduces vehicle management service Cred Garage

Cred, a Bangalore-based FinTech company specialising in credit card and bill payment services, has unveiled a new venture, called 'Cred Garage,' marking its entry into the vehicle management services sector. Cred Garage aims to provide users with a comprehensive suite of vehicle-related solutions and documentation services, encompassing parking services, fuel expenditure tracking, digital document management, insurance services, and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certification, among others. The platform, integrated into the Cred smartphone app, was officially launched on September 28, 2023.

Cred Garage, operating as a private vehicle management platform, strives to centralise all aspects of car ownership within a single app. This includes the convenience of 24/7 priority access to concierge services, efficient document management, timely reminders, and valuable insights into spending patterns. Notably, Cred has also integrated DigiLocker into the Garage, enabling users to access crucial documents such as driver's licenses, vehicle registration certificates, and insurance certifications.

One of the standout features of the Cred Garage is its capability to notify users regarding pending PUC and insurance renewals. Moreover, when users renew their vehicle insurance through the app, they can take advantage of special deals, offers, and rewards. The platform also serves as a valuable resource for vehicle owners in emergency situations, providing access to roadside assistance. Cred Garage facilitates the topping up of FASTags, while also assisting users in maintaining records, checking traffic challan information, and tracking fuel expenditures.

Speaking on the announcement, Akshay Aedula, CRED, said, "Whether a first-time owner or a motor head, anyone who owns cars knows that the delight of driving often gets overtaken by the anxiety of managing and maintaining. CRED garage is our solution to this challenge. CRED members can experience the pleasure of driving and the joy of car ownership on a single platform - customised for them. From cards to cars - CRED members can now manage, maintain and engage with all on the app."
