Citroen launches C4L and C-Elysee

Citroen has launched its own version of the Peugeot 301 for the emerging markets, the C4L and C-Elysee sedans. Depending on the market, the C-Elysee will be available with a choice of 72PS petrol engine while the C4 L will have 150PS, 170PS and a 135PS engine developed in conjunction with BMW. All three engines from the C4L will be mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The C4 L is a long-wheelbase version of the C-Elysee sedan and has a larger boot and extended rear seat space. The Citroen C-Elysee will be manufactured in Spain and will be launched in Turkey, Spain, Central Europe and Algeria at the end of 2012 while the C4 L will be made in China and Russia.
