CARS24 open a Mega Refurbishment Lab spanning over 1,00,000 sq ft. in Bhiwandi, Mumbai

CARS24, an Indian e-commerce platform for used cars, today announced the opening of its third-largest Mega Refurbishment Lab in Mumbai, one of the brand's seven Mega Refurbishment Facilities.

The most recent plant, in the Thane area, is spread over 1,00,000 square feet and caters to the Maharashtra market. The largest of the seven facilities, this massive facility in Mumbai, would restore over 80 automobiles every day and employ upwards of 275 auto professionals. The 7 Mega Refurbishment Facilities, according to CARS24, would create over 1500 employment in the country.

It is the third-largest of CARS24's seven Mega Refurbishment Labs, which will open by the end of the year to supply purchasers with high-quality used automobiles and warranties through a trusted channel.

CARS24 is creating a standard for used automobile quality in India. The convergence of disruptive technology-driven state-of-the-art facilities will alter the pre-owned auto sector and, as a result, fill the industry's standards and benchmarking gap. To standardise and optimise the refurbishing process, the brand will use AI, machine learning and data science. This will make the entire process more efficient and successful while removing subjectivity from the equation.

Speaking on the announcement, Kunal Mundra, CEO, Cars India, CARS24 said, "Mega Refurbishment Labs is the way forward in approaching the inefficiencies in the used car industry. Today the pre-owned car market is predicted to get significant growth, with many announcements of initiatives and policies in the recent past. With the festive season, we believe that the demand for pre-owned cars is expected to witness a significant uptick."

CARS24 customers may choose from 10,000 automobiles on the site, finance them and have them delivered to their home with a 6-month guarantee and a no-questions-asked return policy. At the refurbishment centres, CARS24 vehicles are inspected, reconditioned and photographed in 360-degrees, ensuring that clients receive a trustworthy, dependable and transparent purchase experience in addition to high-quality automobiles.
