BYD has set the stage to introduce the all-new Seal in India tomorrow on Tuesday 5 March. Notably, the bookings for the all-electric sedan have already begun in the country. Interestingly, prospective customers reserving the Seal EV until 30 April get a chance to win complementary gifts, such as UEFA match tickets and round-trip flights to the match city.

BYD Seal EV: Powertrain

Internationally, the Seal EV comes with two battery packs: 61.4kWh and 82.5kWh. The maximum range with the larger battery pack is up to 570km on a full charge, while the maximum power output for a dual-motor setup is rated at 530PS. As a result, the Seal can go from zero to 100kmph in a claimed 3.8 seconds. Further, BYD claims that the Seal EV can be charged from 30 to 80 per cent in just 26 minutes using 150kW DC fast charger. The India-spec model could be offered a single powertrain option.

BYD Seal EV: Features

The EV comes equipped with a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment system similar to Atto 3, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, integrated sport seats, a 12-speaker sound system, a heads-up display. powered boot opening, 19-inch dual-tone wheels, powered ORVMs with memory and heating functions, heated steering wheel, eight-way electronically adjustable driver seat with memory function, dual-zone temperature control, ambient lighting, PM2.5 filter, two wireless charging pads with 15W capacity, a panoramic sunroof, TPMS, a 360deg camera, traction control, hill start assist, electronic parking brake with auto hold, vehicle-to-load (V2L), and four driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, and Snow).
