BYD, the world's top manufacturer of new energy cars and power batteries, reached a historic milestone with the creation of its 6 millionth new energy vehicle at its Zhengzhou facility in China. The six-millionth car, dubbed Bao 5, is a super-hybrid SUV manufactured by BYD's subsidiary Fangchengbao.

BYD offers a varied brand portfolio that includes the Dynasty and Ocean series, as well as Fangchengbao, Denza, and Yangwang. BYD set a monthly sales record in October 2023, selling over 300,000 new energy cars.

Until now, no other company has manufactured 6 million rechargeable automobiles. Meanwhile, BYD manufactured the most recent million in less than three months. To increase the worldwide presence of new energy passenger vehicles, BYD developed a dual approach combining exports and domestic manufacture.

BYD has been actively extending its worldwide footprint since 2010, providing new energy buses and cabs for public transportation electrification. After a decade of hard work, BYD's electric public transportation solutions are now available in over 400 cities across more than 70 countries.

Currently, BYD has penetrated 58 countries and regions and has sold over 200,000 passenger vehicles, with notable successes in the new energy vehicle industry in Thailand, Brazil, and other areas.

BYD has pioneered electric vehicle technology with the Blade Battery, DM-i Super Hybrid System, e-Platform 3.0, Cell to Body (CTB) technology, e4 Platform, BYD DiSus Intelligent Body Control System, and Dual Mode Off-road (DMO) Super Hybrid System.
