BYD Atto 3 deliveries commence in India

Chinese automaker BYD has commenced the deliveries of its all-electric Atto 3 across India. The brand announced that it delivered 340 units of the electric SUV in the first batch the previous month. Notably, the Atto 3 has surpassed a milestone of 2,000 bookings since its India launch three months ago. At the 2023 Auto Expo, BYD introduced the limited edition Atto 3 in an exclusive Forest Green paint job.

The brand offers a single variant of the Atto 3 across four paint options: Surf Blue, Parkour Red, Boulder Grey, and Ski White. Its highlights include LED front and rear lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, an electric parking brake with auto-hold, a five-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, an NFC card key, a panoramic sunroof, an eight-speaker sound system, powered front seats, and CN95 and PM 2.5 in-cabin filters.

BYD has also equipped it with various safety features, such as four-wheel disc brakes, hill descent control, ESC, seven airbags, TPMS, 360-degree camera, ABS, EBD, and traction control. Not to mention, the Atto 3 also has Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities.

Powering the Atto 3 is a 60.48kWh battery pack and an electric motor that makes 204PS and 310Nm of torque. It promises an ARAI-tested range of 521km. The electric SUV can be charged 0-80 per cent within a claimed 50 minutes. Meanwhile, the Atto 3 goes from a standstill to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds.

In terms of international sales, BYD has sold over 252,251 units of the ATTO 3 in just 11 months since its market launch in various countries. It also retailed over 23,231 units in the last month globally.
