BSVI Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi launched in India for Rs 66,430

Yamaha Fascino has been bumped up by a segment and is now launched in India with a new 125cc engine. What's also new is the 125cc powertrain meets the upcoming BSVI regulations. Factoring the new engine and design, the Yamaha Fascino has been priced at Rs 66,430 ex-showroom, but that's just the base trim. The top-end deluxe trim with Disc brake will set you back by Rs 69,930 ex-showroom Delhi.

Following is the trim wise break up of the new Yamaha Fascino 125:

Standard drum brake - Rs 66,430
Standard disc brake - Rs 68,930

Deluxe drum brake - Rs 67,430
Deluxe disc brake - Rs 69,930

With the new Fascino, Yamaha has adopted the bolder design language that is mainly seen on European scooters. The design mainly inculcates the flowing lines with scooter painted in a gloss finish. Upfront the Fascino still gets halogen headlamp while the rivals are moving to all-LED units. The instrument cluster is an analogue unit.

On the mechanical front, the new 125cc engine puts out 8.2PS and 9.7Nm of torque. The engine also gets the engine-start stop feature for improved efficiency. For transmission, the Yamaha Fascino uses a CVT automatic gearbox.

The changes to the cycle parts include a larger front wheel with a 12-inch diameter and the rear wheel now gets a wider 110mm section tyre which is wider than the predecessor. Fascino 125 gets telescopic suspension in the front and a mono-shock in the rear.

The Fascino 125 Fi rivals the likes of the recently launched BSVI Honda which has an opening price of Rs 67,490 ex-showroom Delhi.
