Bookings open for Hyundai Aura at Rs 10,000 - Global launch on January 21
Hyundai Aura, the upcoming compact-sedan was unveiled on December 19, 2019, and in the first week of 2020, the Korean manufacturer has commenced the boking for the same. The Aura can be booked for a token of Rs 10,000 at Hyundai's dealerships or on the company's official website. The official launch has been slated for January 21, and the price is expected to range between Rs 6-9 lakh ex-showroom India.
The Hyundai Aura will be offered with three different BSVI engines along with a choice of a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed AMT (Automatic).
Out of the three, two are petrol engines. 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which is the same tune as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. 83PS and 116Nm of torque. The engine will be available with a choice of an optional automatic. The 1.0-litre turbocharged engine on offer is the same mill we've experienced in the Venue, however, the power is limited to 100PS and 172Nm. This engine will be offered with a five-speed manual gearbox only. The 1.2-litre U2 diesel has been upgraded to be BSVI compliant norms power figures are the same at 75PS and 190Nm.
Hyundai has not yet given us a peek into the Aura's cabin yet but we expect similar treatment as we've experienced in the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
