Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has announced its entry into India's consumer tyre market with the launch of its on-highway portfolio, marking a strategic expansion beyond its established leadership in the off-highway tyre (OHT) segment

The company has introduced purpose-built tyres for two-wheelers and medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCV), signalling its intent to tap India's fast-growing consumer and replacement segments. Alongside the product debut, BKT launched its national brand campaign, 'Elevate Your Drive', featuring brand ambassador Ranveer Singh.

Under a refreshed brand architecture aligned with its 'BKT – Growing Together' identity, the company unveiled two pillars: BKT Tyres, covering its complete tyre portfolio across off- and on-highway categories, and BKT Carbon, representing its carbon black and industrial materials business

The two-wheeler range includes BKT ZENOVA, designed for urban commuting, and BKT THYROS, engineered for mixed on- and off-road use. Manufactured in India under IATF 16949-certified processes, the tyres undergo validation including durability trials and vehicle-level testing at NATRAX, and carry mandatory BIS certifications

In the commercial segment, BKT will introduce the m.Loadxpert (11.00R20) and Milexpert RG (295/90R20) radial tyres in Q1 FY2026–27. Developed for applications such as cement transport and regional logistics, the range is engineered for stability, casing strength and consistent performance, with multiple in-process quality checks and NABL-accredited certifications

As part of its expansion, BKT has committed an investment of ?3,500 crore to enhance manufacturing capacity, R&D and distribution. Under its Vision 2030 roadmap, the company aims to achieve revenue of approximately ?23,000 crore by FY30, with around 20 per cent expected from on-highway tyres
