Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj has launched new Platina ABS in India at Rs 72,224 (ex-showroom). With this, the Platina has become the first and only motorcycle in the 110cc-115cc entry-level commuter segment to offer an anti-lock braking system (ABS). It comes with a choice of three colour options: Cocktail Wine Red, Saffire Blue, and Ebony Black.

Bajaj has not only equipped the Platina with a single-channel ABS for improved braking performance, but it has also given it a new digital speedometer that offers an ABS indicator, gear indicator, and gear guidance features. Furthermore, the Platina ABS continues with the halogen headlamp, LED daytime running light, front disc brake, and 11-litre fuel tank.

Powering the Platina ABS is a 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. This motor produces 8.6PS at 7,000rpm and 9.81Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Meanwhile, the new Bajaj Platina ABS competes against the Honda CD 110 Splendor Plus, Honda CD 110 Dream, and TVS Star City Plus.
