Like Mercedes-Benz IndiaIsuzu Motors and Mahindra, motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj Auto will also be increasing prices across its range. The ex-showroom prices of all Bajaj motorcycles will increase by around Rs 700-1,500. Bajaj Auto has stated that the revised prices will come into effect from January 01, 2017.

Like all car manufacturers, Bajaj Auto has attributed the price hike to the rise in input costs. However, it has also stated that the price hike was necessary to offset the cost of upgrading its models to comply with the BS-IV emission norms. By April 2017, all motorcycles sold in the country must comply with BS-IV emission norms.

He added that the company wants to be among the first to comply with the new emission norms. He also said that the price hike will not include the recently launched Bajaj Dominar 400.
