Auto Expo 2023: Maruti Suzuki Jimny five-door makes global debut; bookings open in India
Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the five-door Jimny at the ongoing Auto Expo in New Delhi. The brand has also commenced bookings for the SUV at the Nexa dealerships. Notably, it will be available in two variants, namely Zeta and Alpha.
Maruti Suzuki five-door Jimny: Design and Colours
The Jimny will be offered in a choice of five single-tone colours and two dual-tone paint options. The paint options include Sizzling Red, Granite Grey, Next Blue, Bluish Black, and Pearl Arctic White, along with Kinetic Yellow and Sizzling Red with Bluish Black roof. The key highlights of the SUV include round LED headlamps, headlight washers, chunky cladding, fog lamps, a wrap-around grille section in black, square-shaped taillights located on the rear bumper, and 15-inch wheels.
Based on the ladder-on-frame chassis, the five-door SUV measures 3,985mm in length (with spare tyre), 1,645mm in width, and 1,720mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,590mm. Moreover, it boasts a ground clearance of 210mm.
Maruti Suzuki five-door Jimny: Interior
The interior of the Jimny comes with a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, an Arkamys sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an engine start/stop button, and cruise control.

The five-door Jimny features six airbags, hill hold and descent control, ABS, EBD, ESP, brake assist, and four speakers, among others.
Maruti Suzuki five-door Jimny: Powertrain
Powering the five-door Jimny will be a K-Series 15B 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine with an idle start/stop system. This motor will come mated to a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, the SUV will be equipped with the brand's AllGrip Pro four-wheel drive system.
