Auto Expo 2020: MG Motor to showcase 14 products covering hatchback, sedans and UV segments
Morris Garages a.k.a MG Motor India is all set for it first ever appearance at the Auto Expo 2020 that will be held in the first week of February at Greater Noida. The company made an announcement regarding the showcase of 14 products that belong to the hatchback, sedan and UV segments. The three pillars on which MG's pavilion will be based on includes internet, electric and autonomous cars.
Speaking about the brand's presence at this year's Auto Expo, Rajeev Chaba, President & MD, MG Motor India, said, "MG Motor India is committed to accelerating the adoption of eco-friendly, next-generation mobility solutions over the long term in India. To achieve this goal, we aim to establish our technology leadership and further consolidate our position in the Indian automotive space. Our presence at this year's Auto Expo with a focus on future technologies for India is a testimony to this commitment. All MG products at the Expo operate at the intersection of our core focus on innovation, customer experience and sustainability-led development.".
The company is also expected to showcase the Vision-i concept which is believed to be a teaser of an upcoming MPV from the brand to take on the likes of the Toyota Innova Crysta and the Mahindra Marazzo. In December 2019, the MG Motor India recorded retail sales of 3,021 units. Since July 2019, the carmaker recorded total sales of 15,930 units. MG Motor India currently has over 150 centers across India and aims to further strengthen its network count to 250 centers by March 2020. MG is now preparing to launch the ZS EV in India on January 27th.
