Audi to debut the facelifted Q7 on February 3
The Audi Q7 facelift will debut in India on February 3, 2022. The SUV's manufacturing started in December 2021, and reservations started earlier this month.
The Audi Q7 has a more aggressive face now. The reworked headlamps are now matrix LED units and come with new detailing in line with newer Audis like the Q8. The octagonal grille now has six upright slats and uses darker elements, unlike the horizontal ones earlier. The front air inlets are now much larger and more angular and come with grey highlights. There are more grey elements on the bottom half of the SUV as well for added aggression. The rear gets a similar overhaul as well. It's now much flatter and gets a full-width chrome strip. These meet at the new taillamps which again have the partitioned LED elements of the new Audis. The bumper now gets a more aggressive rear diffuser too.
The facelifted Audi Q7 will be powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol with 48V mild-hybrid assistance. This motor should pair with an eight-speed torque-converter gearbox and makes 340PS and 500 Nm, good for a 0 to 100 kmph time of 5.9s. There are drive modes, Quattro all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension.
The biggest change on the inside of the 2022 Audi Q7 is the new twin-screen layout. These replace the lower pane of centre-console buttons with a haptic-feedback screen, while the one on top too gets this tech along with the latest 10.2-inch MMI2 interface. The dash has also been made done up in black and silver elements to go well with the screens. Other features are four-zone climate control, Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, an air quality package, 30-colour ambient lighting and the digital instrument cluster. The Q7 facelift will be available in two variants - Premium Plus and Technology.
