Audi India opens new showroom and workshop at Madurai, Tamil Nadu

Following the launch of the new Audi TT in New Delhi, Audi India has launched the car as well as opened a new showroom in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The German manufacturer showcased the new Audi TT along with other models from its stable. The new showroom takes the total tally of showrooms in the state to three.

The new dealership is located on the Madurai-Dindigul National Highway, the combined sales and service facility is spread across 40,000 square feet with the display area itself occupying 8,300 square feet.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Joe King, head , Audi India said, "In the recent past, we have witnessed an exponential surge in demand for luxury cars coming out of Tamil Nadu. Opening a third showroom in the third largest city of the state is the next logical step after Chennai and Coimbatore. This 3S showroom reinstates our commitment and seriousness towards this market. Audi Madurai will enable us to command a leadership position in the state and also act as a catalyst towards our dominance in the southern part of India."

The showroom is themed to resemble Audi's showroom design language and the company also says that the vehicle delivery area is designed to offer a memorable experience.

The workshop, says the company, is fully equipped and has a total of six service bays and a capacity to service 12 cars in a day.

Located on Madurai-Dindigul NH, Audi Madurai is spread over a total area of 40,000 square feet. Audi Madurai is an integrated 3S (Sales, Service and Spare part) facility where the Showroom and the Service Workshop are under one roof. Based on the global terminal architecture concept with the typical honeycomb facade, the showroom has a display area of eight cars spread over an area of 8,300 sq ft. Furthermore, Audi Madurai will also house an Audi Shop and Audi Exclusive elements where customers can purchase a variety of Audi branded merchandise. Audi Madurai features a progressive lounge set-up with an informal seating, video walls and state-of-the-art interiors, lighting and technology. While the lounge set-up provides customers with a plush and relaxed environment, the display and information kiosk helps them discuss and choose the most suitable Audi. Audi Madurai is also equipped with a unique hand-over area where customers will be given a memorable experience while taking the delivery of their car. The showroom will display top of the line performance cars right from the Audi R8 to the Audi TT along with the other Audi models. With its progressive bistro concept, the unique showroom will set a new benchmark among luxury car showrooms in India. The entire showroom is lit with state-of-the-art LED lighting solutions, reinforcing Audi's commitment to the environment. Audi Madurai also houses the exclusive Audi Service facility in the same premises. The workshop is spread over an area of about 10,200 square feet and has a capacity to service twelve cars per day in a single shift on a total of six bays. The body and paint shop is also integrated in this workshop which will provide customers complete after-sale solution for their cars. The successful start to the year for AUDI AG was also helped by the March results with a plus of 4.4 percent to around 177,950 cars.
