Audi India commence local production of Q3 and Q3 Sportback
Audi India has started the local production of its Q3 and Q3 Sportback SUVs at the SAVWIPL plant in Aurangabad, India. The Audi Q3 starts from Rs 44.89 lakh while its Sportback sibling is priced at Rs 51.43 lakh.
The Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback feature a single 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. This puts out 190PS and 320 Nm and is paired with a seven-speed DCT. The cars are also equipped with Audi's Quattro AWD system.
While the standard Q3 is offered in 2 trim levels- Premium Plus and Technology, the Q3 Sportback is strictly offered in a single variant i.e. the Technology Plus S-line. Both cars also share 4 colour options Glacier White, Chronos Grey, Mythos Black, and Navarra Blue. but the Pulse Orange is only offered in the Q3 while the Q3 Sportback has Turbo Blue as an additional colour option.
On the inside, both vehicles feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a gesture-controlled tailgate, cruise control, a three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, electrically adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and drive modes.
The Audi Q3 Sportback hasn't been tested by any NCAP body yet but the regular Q3 did score a 5-star rating at the Global NCAP crash test. Keeping in mind they are pretty much the same car, we could say that the same score could be applied to both vehicles.
